Skirts
Our skirts run short. Denim minis, crisp poplin and sequin pairs for going out, most of them mini length and cut low on the waist, from Motel Rocks and our own Miss Behavin' Label. If you want shorts underneath, the skorts have their own page.
What length are your skirts?
Mini, almost across the board. A few sit just above the knee but most land mid thigh, and several are cut low on the waist rather than high. That is a deliberate buy rather than an accident. Mini length is what our customers actually reach for, and a low rise skirt sits better with the cropped tops and bodysuits most of them are pairing it with. If you want a midi or a maxi, we carry those in dresses more often than in skirts.
What do you wear with a denim mini?
A denim mini is the easiest thing on this page to build around. A fitted tank and sneakers is the version you will wear most. Swap in boots and a cropped knit and it works for a country concert or a night out. A denim skirt also takes a heavier top better than a lighter fabric does, so it carries a sweater in a way a poplin skirt does not. Sequin and satin want the opposite treatment: keep the top plain so the skirt does the talking.
Should I get a skirt or a skort?
Take the skirt if the day is mostly sitting still. Dinner, a wedding, drinks somewhere with chairs. Take a skort if you will be moving, outdoors, or on anything low. A skort has shorts built in under the front panel, so it looks the same from the front and removes the hemline maintenance. Both are mini. Only one of them lets you sit on a curb without thinking about it.
Sizing
Sizes vary by label, so check the options on each product page. If you are between sizes or unsure how something is cut, message us and we will look at the piece on the rack and tell you what we see.
